Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard divided viewers' opinions when they arrived as replacements for the earlier duo of Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.

However, when an announcement was issued on their fates today, the news was good for them both. The pair will return to This Morning in a matter of days, arriving back on Monday, September 2.

They will be followed by Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary on Friday, September 6. The foursome celebrated their return with a photoshoot atop the Television Centre building for the first time in the show's history.

They were pictured flying a drone off the building while grinning at each other, to the tune of 'Talk About It' by BRIT award-winning group Jungle. They have scaled heights of over 45ft for the vertigo-inducing video shoot and made TV history in the process.

Martin Frizell, editor at This Morning, shared, “Full credit to our promo team for this idea and execution. I know that it was no mean feat getting a rather large sofa and four hosts up on the roof during one of the hottest days this summer!”

He added: "We all couldn’t be more excited to welcome back Ben, Cat, Alison and Dermot post their summer break, and I know all had great fun filming this promo.

"Their energy certainly matches the fresh and bold content the show has coming up.”

The foursome's return marks the end of the extended summer break.

Last month, body language expert Darren Stanton gave his verdict on Cat and Ben, suggesting that Cat Deely can sometimes comes across like a "fish out of water" on the show.

However, he complimented her increasing chemistry with Ben Shephard, adding that it had become more "elegant" in recent times.

"With Cat, we know the transition has been a bit of a slow one. However, I do think the rapport between them has increased quite a lot, and they’ve started to find their feet now," he stated on behalf of Betfair Bingo.

Darren, a former police officer who used his Psychology degree and training to uncover the truth while interviewing hundreds of suspects, shared: “There is more of an elegance to their partnership now. They come across as more seamless with the way that they interact with each other.

"I don’t think they are as strong as other presenters such as Alison Hammond, but they have definitely developed over the last few months.”

Meanwhile, This Morning urged on Twitter: "Take a look at our brand new promo and start your day on a high with This Morning, weekdays from 10am on ITV1, ITVX and STV!"
