Kevin Costner discusses his Yellowstone departure
Yellowstone fans took to social media following the release of a teaser of the final few episodes of season 5. While many viewers are excited to see the return of the Paramount+ show, some are concerned things “won’t be the same” due to one key difference.
Yesterday, Paramount and Yellowstone released a joint post on their Instagram pages, sharing a teaser trailer for Season 5, Part 2. It was captioned: “Generations of blood have led to this.
“Don’t miss the epic return of Yellowstone Nov. 10, only on @paramountnetwork. #YellowstoneTV.” (sic)
The teaser in question featured a slow pan through the town, with a few moody shots of a shadowy figure captured in the eye of a horse, as well as a door ominously creaking.
While many fans expressed their joy at seeing a teaser trailer for the new episodes, which are now just months away, others aired their frustrations in the comments section.

Many people seemed disappointed that Hollywood actor Kevin Costner, who plays central character John Dutton, would not be making a comeback.
Others were also concerned that too much time had passed since the last few episodes were released, with many claiming they had forgotten where the series was up to.
One viewer wrote: “Won’t be the same without Kevin Costner.” (sic)
Another agreed: “Kinda over it… It’s been too long and it won’t be the same without Kevin.” (sic)
A third penned: “You all waited too long and had too many side projects. The series was great but should have done it in the timeframe you said in the beginning. Not going to be the same without Kevin Costner.”
“Missing Kevin Costner already…” another chimed in, as one more said: “Won’t be the same without John but I hope Beth and Rip takes Jamie out for good to the train station.” (sic)
Another commented that too much time had elapsed since the last instalment, writing: “It’s been so long I’ve forgotten the storyline.”
One more person complained: “Took so long that I have no idea what happened leading up to this ‘epic return’ you’re talkin about.” (sic)
On June 20, Paramount+ announced that Yellowstone Season 5, Part 2 will make its long-awaited return on Sunday, November 10.
