Emmerdale fans are convinced they've rumbled who is blackmailing Will Taylor on the hit ITV soap.
In scenes this week, Will is the victim of a sick blackmail plot in the village. However, it appears that it's not ex Rose Jackson or daughter Dawn Taylor behind the scheme, leaving Will terrified. He initially believes Rose is behind it all given their recent drama, but a later discovery teases it can't be her after all.
And in spoilers next week, Will is left further terrified in a new blackmailing development. In the scenes, Will is on edge to hear from the blackmailer and determined to find out who he’s dealing with as he prepares to meet his fate.
It's not long until a nervous Will waits in a lay-by for the blackmailer but when Caleb Milligan informs him of a fire raging in the barn at Moira Dingle's farm, Will can do nothing but follow them and hides his blackmail money.
This means that Will has missed the drop and later a call and threatening message from his blackmailer leaves Will struggling to control his fear as he tries to support the Dingles at the barn fire... who is blackmailing Will?
Soap watchers think they've already rumbled who is behind the stunt and are convinced it isn't Will's estranged wife Kim Tate, despite her being a likely suspect. Viewers think that none other than Jimmy King could be behind the stunt or his wife Nicola King.
Only recently, Will has been opening up to Jimmy about his marriage troubles and this week sees him confide in Jimmy as they both attempt to rumble who is behind the blackmail. Taking to social media, fans think Jimmy could be behind the stunt in a red herring move.
One person said: "I’m thinking it’s jimmy the blackmailer" to which a different account wrote: "My hubby also thinks Jimmy!", while another person put: "Unless Jimmy told Nichola!" Meanwhile, others think it could be Kim's close friend and confidant Lydia Dingle. One person said: "It's Lydia Dingle", another wrote: "I thought Lydia!" while a different account added: "Deffo Lydia!"
It remains to be seen who is behind the blackmail horror but the storyline will continue across the next few episodes, leaving viewers gripped. Meanwhile, Emmerdale is set for explosive scenes this September.
