Dead and Buried: BBC drama teased in trailer
A star-studded cast from some of the most popular TV dramas and films are set to appear in a new psychological drama series on BBC iPlayer. The brainchild of Colin Bateman, Dead and Buried follows the story of young mother Cathy who encounters her brother's killer, Michael.
Michael, who took the life of her brother Terry two decades ago, has been released from prison and is residing in the same town. In a quest for revenge, Cathy creates an online persona to befriend and later torment Michael.
As Cathy's fixation intensifies, the lines between her dark fantasies of vengeance and reality become blurred as she embarks on a mission of psychological warfare to ruin Michael's life. This gripping new thriller set in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland will be broadcast weekly on BBC One Northern Ireland, with the entire series available on BBC iPlayer.

Annabel Scholey as Cathy
Cathy's world is turned upside down after she bumps into Michael, the man responsible for killing her brother Terry 20 years ago. She creates an online alias in order to befriend Michael, instigating a relationship with the man she despises and embarking on a campaign of harassment and deceit.
Annabel Scholey played Drake in the BBC supernatural drama Being Human and the leading role of Maddie in the musical Walking on Sunshine. Other viewers may recognise her as Claire Brown in Doctor Who: Flux, Sarah Bailey in The Salisbury Poisonings and Inspector George Gently.
Colin Morgan as Michael
Michael returns to the community many years after he killed Terry 20 years ago. Michael was released from prison and wants to move on from his dark past, but Cathy is unwilling to let that happen.
Many viewers will know the Northern Irish actor from his stint as Merlin in the self-titled role, Tom Anderson in The Fall, Jeff in Mammals and The Crown. He also starred as Billy Clanton in Belfast.
Kerri Quinn as Sally
Sally is Cathy's friend and colleague who tries to support her through her recent encounter. But will she make her friend see sense?
Kerri played Sergeant Marlene Pettigrew in Hope Street and Vicky Jefferies in ITV soap opera Coronation Street, as well as Derry Girls, The Witcher: Blood Origin.
Owen Roe as Jack
The stage and TV actor plays Michael's boss Jack, who praises Jack's work ethic and professionalism at his business. A prolific stage actor, he has appeared on Scarlett, The Ambassador, Ballykissangel, Rásaí na Gaillimhe, Penny Dreadful, Vikings and Fair City.
Waj Ali as Raymie
Waj plays Cathy's husband who is aware of her background and her encounter with Michael at the supermarket. Yet Raymie is in the dark about his wife's obsession with Michael as the drama unfolds.
Waj Ali played Constable Berwick in Carnival Row but he has also played minor roles in Idris Elba flick Hijack, Honour, Up on the Roof and Silent Witness.
Niamh Walsh as Lena
The Irish actress plays Michael's wife Lena who also runs her own business in town. The actress had a regular stint in Holby City as Cara Martinez, before making appearances in the series Wreck and historical drama The English Game.
Niamh has recently appeared in Prime Video's Good Omens and The Sandman on Netflix.
Michael Hanna as Andrew
Andrew is Michael's teenage son who attends the local school. This is the actor's TV debut.
