BBC Breakfast: Jon Kay asks Carol Kirkwood 'where are you?'

BBC Breakfast descended into chaos during the latest episode after Jon Kay jokingly asked Carol Kirkwood her whereabouts.

The hit morning show was back for another instalment on Tuesday (August 13), with Jon and Sally Nugent at the helm. During the programme, sports presenter John Watson discussed TV chef Delia Smith's decision to step down as a director at football club Norwich City.

In memory of her time as a director, a clip was shown of Delia's famous speech where she told her opponents, "let's be having you!" After watching the the moment again, Jon was filled with zeal and couldn't wait to use the same lines on weather reporter, Carol.

Looking for Carol, who was about to present her latest update, Jon shouted: "Carol Kirkwood, where are you? Let's be having you!"

Adding to the fun moment, Carol replied: "I'm here!" As the camera focused on her Carol giggled and continued with her segment.

After seeing the hilarious moment unfold on screen, one viewer headed over to X and wrote: "Lovely how Carol can bring a smile to ya face with her infectious laugh. Let's be avin ya lol."

The news comes after Carol Kirkwood had to briefly stop her weather forecast on Monday to apologise to her co-stars. After delivering the week's forecast, Sally Nugent expressed disappointment about the upcoming rain and said: "You're disappointing me now, Carol. I thought we had summer."

Laughing at Sally's statement, Carol responded with an apology. She said: "Sorry, Sal." Despite Sally interrupting to say, "I know it's not your fault," Carol then replied: "I'll go and get rid of it." Jon added his support, saying: "Delete it, pretend."

Carol usually shares the week's weather on social media when she appears on BBC Breakfast. Monday was no exception as she warned of "some heavy thundery downpours around this morning."

However, she also predicted high temperatures in the southeast of the UK, with temperatures potentially reaching 35 degrees.

Fans were quick to share their reports in response to Carol on social media. One fan wrote: "Good morning Carol. It's already feeling very warm down here in the Portsmouth area. I hope the folks in Northern Ireland, Northern England and Scotland get some decent weather today too."

BBC Breakfast airs weekdays from 6am on BBC One.
