A Good Girl's Guide to Murder: BBC trailer based on novel by Holly Jackson
A Good Girls Guide to Murder originally aired on the BBC and the murder mystery series has since been added to Netflix. It quickly became the most-streamed show on the platform worldwide.
The series stars Emma Myers as Pip Fitz-Amobi, who believes there is more to be uncovered about the killing of a local schoolgirl and she takes matters into her own hands. Also starring in the show is Zain Iqbal as Ravi Singh.
Ravi is the secondary protagonist and Pip's boyfriend and he is introduced as the brother of Salil Singh (Rahul Pattni) a teenager who was believed to have murdered his girlfriend. Ravi and Pip are the only people to believe Salil is innocent.
In both the US and UK versions of the story, Ravi's parents were Nisha and Mohan Singh. The only difference between the two versions is the year he was born.
In the UK version, Ravi Singh was born in the summer of 1997 and in the American version, he was born in 1999. So how old is the character?

Fans seemed to be able to answer the question surrounding Ravi's age after reader Kelsey asked on Good Reads: "Did they ever say how old Ravi is? I know she says he left school a few years before her but just wondering."
Lauren responded with: "In the first interview she does with Ravi, it says that he is 20 years old, I believe."
This age was confirmed on the show's Fandom page, which stated that in the first and second books, Ravi is 20 years old. In the sequel As Good as Dead, he is 21.

Actor Zain Iqbal is much older than his character, as he is 26 years old, celebrating his birthday on May 28.
He grew up in Greater Manchester and started his career as a model, but gave up due to struggles with the casting process.
His first roles were in student films, with his feature film debut coming in 2022, in All Crazy Random.
Holly Jackson told the BBC she was thrilled to have him on board her project, saying of the main cast: "We found our perfect Ravi in Zain. I can’t wait for us all to be able to watch their scenes.
"I smile every time I see them together, because I know that we’ve pulled off the impossible, and Emma and Zain are the only two people I would trust to bring these characters to life. Everyone’s going to be just as thrilled as I am."
