The Mallorca Files Season 3: Official trailer
The Mallorca Files fans can expect more will-they-won’t-they in season three as Miranda Blake (played by Elen Rhys) and Max Winter (Julian Looman) return for more investigations on the Spanish island.
Amazon Prime Video is airing the series this time around following a lengthy hiatus since season two aired on BBC One back in 2021.
Many viewers will be tuning in in the hopes that Max and Miranda finally act on their undeniable chemistry.
However, Max still has his girlfriend Carmen Lorenzo (Tábata Cerezo) to think about, while there could also be romance for Miranda on the cards this season as well.
Teasing Max and Miranda’s relationship this time around, Elen told Express.co.uk: “Umm… give the people what they want!
“I mean, I love it that people are on their side and so behind that.”
Although the Welsh detective is constantly bickering with her German partner, the investigators clearly have a lot of affection for one another.
Fans are keeping their fingers crossed for sparks to fly but, unfortunately, Elen hints they may be waiting a little longer for their relationship to develop into anything more romantic.
“I always feel like if they went there you’d probably lose the magic a little bit,” she explained.

“It’s like, you want them to get together but you want to want that, not for it to actually happen.
“It feels a bit like I don’t really know where it would go after that,” Elen added.
“Not saying it’s not possible, and it's definitely something to explore but for now I really kind of enjoy playing the will-they-won’t they and I enjoy all the obstacles that come in because it gives you a tension, something to work against. It makes it more exciting.”
While Julian chimed in: “Yeah, more exciting than seeing how they fight about who’s cleaning their rooms and all that…”
All eight episodes are dropping this Thursday (August 8), so fans don’t have long to wait to find out if Max and Miranda get any closer to working through their feelings.
They also couldn’t help admitting that returning to Mallorca felt a little “surreal” after the series was forced to take such a long break from screens.
“It felt a little bit like we had been in a coma for three years,” Julian said. “Then, all of a sudden, back again!
“But it’s great. It was a little bit surreal to be on set to be honest, to see all those lovely faces of the crew. It was a little bit surreal.”
