EastEnders' villain Nish Panesar's next target has been 'unveiled', and it spells trouble for a fan-favourite character.
The notorious Nish (Navin Chowdhry) has stirred up quite a storm in Walford since his arrival in 2022. Recently, the ruthless businessman disclosed to his estranged family that he is terminally ill with only months left to live.
In the midst of Nish's clash with the Panesars, Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy), the mother of his grandchildren, proposed a scandalous deal to the dying antagonist: sexual favours in exchange for his wealth after his demise. Priya was resolute in securing her children's future.
Nish agreed to the proposition, but when Priya's son Nugget (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury) ended up in hospital due to steroid abuse, a heartbroken Priya reneged on her promise, leaving Nish seething. In retaliation, Nish concocted a series of lies.
He informed Ravi (Aaron Thiara) that it was Priya who had initiated their arrangement - leading Ravi to move their daughter, Avani (Aaliyah James), in with him. Isolated from her family, Priya suffered another setback this week, reports the Daily Star.
Nish's other son Vinny (Shiv Jalota) evicted her from their home to gain Nish's trust, hoping to inherit the Panesar empire. And during Tuesday's episode (July 31), which was released early on iPlayer, Priya was adamant about visiting Nugget in hospital for his upcoming dialysis session.
She joined forces with Denzel (Jaden Ladega) to sneak into the hospital. However, the situation escalated dramatically when Nish and Ravi discovered her, igniting a heated argument.
An irate Nish pulled Priya to one side, ominously warning her with the words: "Thin ice Priya."
His temper flaring, he continued with a chilling threat that if she didn't back down, she would be cut off from her children forever, stating, "Trust me, I can make it happen."

The soap's devotees are now sweating over the possibility of Nish turning killer and taking Priya's life, in what would be an astonishing plot twist. On a popular EastEnders Facebook group, a worried fan speculated: "Hmmm, I think Nish will try and murder Priya."
Another chimed in: "Hope they don't get Nish to kill Priya really coming round to her, she's actually becoming a character and not someone who says witty things."
Meanwhile, a third fan voiced on another forum: "Priya didn't know who she was messing with. I did say that she'll rub someone up (no pun intended) the wrong way really soon and she'll end up in a bad way."
Furthermore, a particularly concerned viewer asserted: "I've got a very bad feeling about our Priya. I feel she's going to get caught in the cruel crossfire and end up deceased."
