Meryl Streep joins Only Murders in the Building
Disney+ has revealed its hotly anticipated line-up for August, teasing fans with the return of Only Murders In The Building. The hit series, featuring the star-studded cast of Selena Gomez, Martin Short, and Steve Martin, is gearing up for an explosive fourth season.
The upcoming season of the critically lauded mystery comedy-drama will dive into the fallout of season three's finale that left audiences reeling from the twists concerning Charles' pal Sazz Pataki. The cliffhanger has left viewers on edge, wondering whether Sazz or Charles was the target, a question that drives the intrepid trio all the way to Los Angeles.
Amidst the bright lights of Hollywood, a movie based on their podcast is in the works. As the amateur sleuths, Charles, Oliver, and Mabel hurry back to the Big Apple, they find themselves plunged into a deeper mystery within the very courtyard of their residence at the Arconia's West Tower.
It comes after Jesse Williams, known as Tobert in the show and famed for his role in Grey's Anatomy, confirmed his departure from the series. In an exclusive interview with People Magazine, the 42-year-old actor said: "No, I'm not on that show anymore."
Disney+ is also set to release the second series of Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures in August. The series, which is set 200 years before The Phantom Menace during the High Republic era, follows Jedi younglings Kai Brightstar, Lys Solay, and Nubs as they learn about the Force, explore the galaxy, assist those in need, and acquire essential skills to become Jedi, reports the Mirror.
In addition, National Geographic will launch a six-part underwater series called OceanXplorers on Disney+ in August. Fans can also anticipate the fifth season of Solar Opposites, Zombies: The Re-animated Series, and Are You Sure?, which is available for streaming from August 8.
