Hazel Irvine was soon trending on Twitter, as she took over the BBC's Olympics coverage this afternoon. The Scottish-born presenter left viewers distracted at home as she delivered all of the action at Paris 2024.

The 59 year old delivered all the latest updates which included double gold joy for Team GB as triathlete Alex Yee and the women's rowers including Lauren Henry, Hannah Scott, Lola Anderson and Georgie Brayshaw secured the win.

However, this week viewers continued to praise the BBC broadcaster on X for her brilliant coverage, others were more interested in the fact Hazel "doesn't age".

The micro-blogging site was filled with compliments for the host, as others addressed her extensive sporting knowledge.

One user quizzed: "Hazel Irvine looks good for her age! What age is she?" Another asked: "Does Hazel Irvine ever age?"

"I swear Hazel Irvine does not age," a third wrote.

"Hazel Irvine is just an outstanding broadcaster isn’t she? We’re very lucky to have her on our screens," one person penned.

Another agreed: "Said it before, and I’ll say it again, when it comes to sports broadcasting, Hazel Irvine is quite simply different class. Miss her covering the golf in days gone by, but enjoying her anchoring the afternoon sessions… #Paris2024 #BBCOlympics."
