Loose Women: Panelists walk onto set at start of the prom themed show
Loose Women fans were quick to criticise the ITV panel show’s “worst ever episode” as ‘George Clooney’ and ‘David Beckham’ put in an appearance.
Brenda Edwards, Frankie Bridge, Coleen Nolan and Katie Piper were fronting the special show, themed around a high school prom – which Brenda missed out on due to her religious upbringing. By the end of the show, Katie had teased a “very special guest” to act as “dates” for their glitzy event.
But sadly Katie confirmed they couldn’t quite get the “real thing” before introducing a pair of lookalikes – styled to look like footie ace Beckham and Hollywood star Clooney. Baffled fans quickly turned to X to share their thoughts, with plenty hitting out at the show’s “cheap” budget.
One penned: “He looks sod all like George Clooney, nor does the other one look like David Beckham!” Another said: “I don’t think that fella would look like George Clooney even if [they] closed their eyes.”
Someone else chimed in: “David Beckham lookie-likey looks more like Peter Andre. Just needs to dye his hair black!” As a fourth joked: “Loose Women’s George Clooney lookalike, more like Khan mayor of London!” Somebody else couldn’t resist quipping: “Wow, David’s aged!”
More jokesters chimed in with: "When you order George Clooney and David Beckam off Temu!" and "David Beckham? More like David Peckham."
The strange episode was off to a weird start as all four presenters appeared to ‘abandon’ the set for a CGI limo, sipping champagne together as Frankie joked: “Come on driver, I’m starting to get a bit car sick!”
“Prom queens in this fabulous limo!” Katie chimed in, as Coleen announced: “No, we’re there, we’re there! You ready girls? Let’s go!”
All through the episode fans had been speculating on who the “surprise guests” could be, with one tweeting: “Superstar might be a stretch unless they’re actually expecting a couple of A listers."
Another guessed: "Star guest probably Rylan/Coleen’s son/the one(s)who’s always on every reality show." As someone else said: "Reality show wannabes I bet."
