Jenny Ryan slams Bradley Walsh for LAX mispronunciation

The Chase's Bradley Walsh was left red-faced when Jenny 'The Vixen' Ryan corrected him on an awkward mistake. During the episode aired on December 19, Bradley was joined by contestants Rachel from Cardiff, Will from North Yorkshire, Martin from Enniskillen and Jessica from Cornwall.

However, things took a turn when Bradley mispronounced a word during a question to contestant Rachel. He asked: "What American city's main international airport is known as Lax."

pronouncing it as 'Lax' instead of 'L A X'. Quick to correct him, Rachel said: "It's LAX." before correctly answering: "Los Angeles.", reports the Liverpool Echo.

Having made it to the next round, Rachel expressed her desire to face Shaun Wallace, hoping for a chance to hear him sing if a music question came up.

However, she found herself facing The Vixen and immediately called out Bradley's error upon entering the stage. She quipped: "Hello retiary Rachel. There was some really quizzing on display there but what I partially liked is that you (Rachel) corrected Brad. Yes it usually is LAX not Lax, Lax is Brad's attitude to this show."

The studio erupted in laughter as Bradley quickly moved on with the programme. This comes after Bradley Walsh confessed he 'lost all hope' following a contestant's unexpected revelation during Wednesday's episode.

The television host was stunned when participant Tom admitted he had accidentally applied for the wrong show and had never actually seen a full episode of The Chase.

Bradley was left dumbfounded, asking: "So, what prompted you to come on the show? " Tom explained that he had intended to apply for a different show with a similar name, but added: "But I'm delighted to be here,".

When asked which show he had meant to apply for, Tom responded: "Hunted." Bradley's reaction was one of disbelief as he crossed his arms and declared: "The Chase. Hunted... wow. I don't hold out much hope for you, Tom."

The Chase airs weekdays from 5pm on ITV and ITVX
