Mark Dolan apologises after reading out explicit email
Axed GB News presenter Mark Dolan's former colleagues have taken to social media to express their sorrow he is leaving the channel.
Presenter Emily Carver wrote: "Really sad to hear you’re leaving." This prompted Mark to respond, "Thanks legend."
Host Beverly Turner commented referring to how many people had read his shock announcement. "One million views in 4 hours... @mrmarkdolan. You're a natural broadcaster, a superb writer, a funny man and a joy to be around. You are much loved, my friend," she said.
Mark was one of two presenters given the chop in a huge shake up at the channel. It was also announced Isabel Webster would be stepping down from presenting the breakfast show with Eamonn Holmes three days a week.
Ellie Costello, who currently presents the show on Thursdays and Fridays, will replace her in the role. She has previously stood in for Isabel when she is on holidays.
