Gemma Collins 'considers becoming a foster carer'
Gemma Collins has revealed she feels "complete" after making a big family announcement.
The former TOWIE star has shared her plans to become a foster carer. During an appearance on Good Morning Britain, Gemma shared that her mother was fostered as a child and she wishes to provide the same support for a young child in need.
This announcement comes amidst warnings from a national fostering group about a care crisis. Joined by her mum Joan on the show, Gemma stated: "There's a lot of love I can give. I always make a good dinner!"
Joan, who was in foster care from birth, reflected on her positive experiences growing up. Current reports indicate a need for 12,500 foster carers, with a 14% increase in children needing homes compared to last year. "There are so many rooms going spare across the UK," urged Gemma, encouraging others to consider fostering.
She also spoke about reconnecting with Joan's cousin through the TV show Who Do You Think We Are, leading to a stronger family bond. Gemma stated that discovering her extended family has made her feel "complete" and inspired her to help other young people.

Earlier in the year, Gemma revealed her hopes of starting a family with beau Rami Hawash, and has already taken to the role of stepmum to his kid from a past relationship.
Discussing their aspirations for more children with The Mirror and OK! she said: "We're going to visit a fertility clinic soon to see if there's any complications and if I'm able to conceive. I'm nowhere near menopause yet so that will hopefully take the pressure off as I was panicking a bit."
Chiming in, Rami added: "We're going to relax and put it into God's hands to see what happens. What's meant to be will be ... Gemma is the absolute best stepmum to Tristan and we have a very busy house."
Gemma called their household "chaos", but expressed complete contentment with their lively home life. She continued: "It's chaos sometimes with all of us in it, we definitely need a bigger bed! But I don't think either of us imagined this would be our life when we first started dating."
