The legendary Baywatch TV series is under the spotlight yet again 25 years after airing its final episode. The US TV show shared the lives of lifeguards in their iconic red swimwear and shorts as they patrolled the sun-soaked sands of Los Angeles.

Despite its initial poor critical reception, it soared to become one of the world's most-viewed shows in the 1990s. Pamela Anderson became an international sex symbol overnight thanks to her role as C.J. Parker, David Hasselhoff cemented his status as a TV star and Carmen Electra became a regular face in TV, film and magazines.

The iconic show spawned numerous spin-offs and a 2017 movie reboot featuring stars Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Zac Efron. Now, fans are set to be ushered back to the golden coast with the release of After Baywatch: Moment in the Sun, a four-part documentary series uncovering the secrets and controversies surrounding the beloved programme.

Slated to bring new interviews with original stars like Nicole Eggert, Carmen Electra, David Hasselhoff, David Chokachi, and Jeremy Jackson, along with previously unseen footage, this docuseries delves into the beauty standards of the '90s and investigates the show's recipe for selling sex appeal, reports the Mirror.

After premiering on US streaming services, the series will be released in the UK very soon. This is when After Baywatch will be released and how you can watch the series.
