Carol Vorderman was previously a staunch supporter of Labour, but she's now made the revelation that her estimation of the party's actions has now gone from a four out of ten to a mere two.
The former Countdown star said that Labour's decision to axe winter fuel payments for millions of pensioners, who could now see themselves forced to choose between eating and heating this winter, was "categorically wrong". Yet listeners on this morning's episode of Women's Hour were enraged at her subsequent request for Keir Starmer to "apologise", arguing it didn't go nearly far enough.
"Carol Vorderman calls for apology from Sir Keir Starmer over winter fuel cut. APOLOGIES don't keep pensioners warm!!!!!! REINSTATE the allowance!!!" raged one fan who took to Twitter. Another exclaimed: "The woman who mercilessly criticised the Tories so that her hero Starmer could get elected now has to admit she was wrong. I wonder how many pensioners were duped by her into voting for Labour."
A third slammed: "Carol Vorderman when it’s Starmer; ‘Oh apologise to the nice little pensioners will you, I’m not happy with you babes,'" before going on to suggest that if it had been the Conservative Party, she'd responded with some choice expletives. Meanwhile, a fourth BBC Radio 4 listener groaned over Carol "banging on about her ideas to mend broken Britain".
"She's evidently not fond of Tories & praises reaction of Govt to riots. She talks about disconnect between people & political elites, but doesn't mention the real issues imo," the listener continued. Carol's comments have provoked an incendiary response - but many will be even more frustrated to learn that she actively enjoys annoying those who oppose her beliefs.

Revealing this morning that she's thanked "the trolls who give me my oxygen" at the back of her latest book, Now What? A Mission To Fix Broken Britain, she confessed: "I have the devil in me.
"Sometimes I deliberately wind them up. I enjoy a little spat now and then!"
Meanwhile, Carol continued by telling stories of her upbringing in "abject poverty" in Wales, revealing that she'd once lived at a circus.
She made the controversial demand that no-one from Eton should be allowed into the House of Lords until "at least 2050", arguing that she "cannot bear to witness the injustice and inequality".

"The dominance of that singular school has never been greater," she argued.
Meanwhile, Carol vowed she'd also be "coming after" misogynists who don't appreciate women in politics next year, although she opted not to divulge exactly what she plans to do.
Her recent theories have proved unpopular with Tory voters, many of whom blame her for "duping" pensioners into casting votes for Starmer, only to be betrayed by the drastic cuts to funding that he unveiled.
