The Perfect Couple has been a massive success since its debut on Netflix, with viewers having already devoured all six episodes. The drama unfolds ahead of the wedding of Amelia Sacks (portrayed by Eve Hewson) and Benji Winbury (Billy Howle), when Amelia's best friend Merritt Monaco (Meghann Fahy) is discovered dead on the beach.
The entire wedding party becomes suspect when it emerges that Merritt was murdered. Many of the guests had a reason to kill Merritt, who was involved in an affair with Benji's father, Tag (Liev Schreiber).
As the series progresses, suspicion seems to fall on Tag's wife Greer (Nicole Kidman), who had been communicating with criminal Broderick Graham (Thomas Flanagan). However, it later transpires that Broderick is actually Greer's brother, and he needed money due to his gambling problem.
After being released from custody, Greer discloses the truth about their relationship, revealing that she was a high-end escort when she first met Tag, who paid her for sex.
The series finale reveals that the murderer was actually Abby Winbury (Dakota Fanning), the expectant wife of one of Benji's brothers.

Thomas Winbury (Jack Reynor) had pilfered pills from Amelia's mother, which she planned to use to end her life if her condition became too unbearable.
Thomas, known for his drug addiction, was notorious for stealing pills from his family. Abby used these pills to spike Merritt's drink and persuaded her to go swimming.
While Merritt was helpless in the water, Abby held her head under until she drowned. She then cleaned the glass she had given to Merritt, effectively eradicating any evidence.

Abby confessed that she murdered Merritt for financial gain, knowing that if Merritt, who was pregnant with Tag's child, gave birth, the baby would be included in the family trust fund, triggering an automatic reset.
Abby stood to inherit a fortune from the family fund when Will (Sam Nivola), the youngest Winbury brother, reached 18.
If Tag were to father another child, they would have to wait until that child turned 18 before receiving the money.
They were in urgent need of cash as Thomas owed $2.5million (£1.96m) to Isabel Nallet (Isabelle Adjani), with whom he was having an affair.
Despite their disagreements, Greer and Amelia parted on amicable terms, following Greer penning a book inspired by Amelia's life.
