Darragh Ennis, famously known as 'The Menace' from The Chase, revealed his foolproof tips for always getting the right answer for certain questions on the show, during a recent edition of JaackMaate's Happy Hour podcast (August 29).

Darragh, 43, not only holds prominence in quizzing but also boasts an impressive background as a neuroscientist and entomologist.

He disclosed a particular method to nail questions immediately: "Top tip for The Chase; 'which graffiti artist...' - immediately say Banksy, because he's the only one that they ask questions about."

Furthermore, he spoke about another predictable answer: "'Which space agency...' - NASA. It's never the European Space Agency."

His journey with The Chase began not as a Chaser, but as a contestant, where he grabbed an admirable £9,000 in the cash builder, successfully beating Chaser Paul Sinha to contribute the amount to his team.

Earning his PhD and previously engaged in roles like laboratory manager and research technician at Oxford University's Department of Biochemistry, Darragh's academic accolades are as noteworthy as his quizzing prowess.

His alma mater is Maynooth University in the Republic of Ireland. Now, Darragh joins a lineup of fan favourites, including Mark Labbett, Anne Hegerty, Paul Sinha, Jenny Ryan, and Shaun Wallace on the hit ITV show.

In the same podcast, Darragh revealed that while he and his fellow Chasers share many common interests, they seldom meet due to the distances between their homes.

He divulged: "Things like award shows, big events like that, we go out together and I went to Jenny's (Ryan) birthday party a couple of years ago, that was great fun, I went to Paul Sinha's wedding, even though I hadn't appeared on the show at the point, it was very nice of him to invite me along."

Elaborating on the challenges, Darragh pointed out as an example that he's based in Oxford and has "small kids", while Mark spends time up north or in the midlands.

Despite being "work friends" who "chat to each other", their gatherings are infrequent and they "don't go out".

Yet, he admitted feeling especially connected to Jenny Ryan due to their similar ages - both being in their 40s - and said he's "pretty close to Paul" while also spending a "lot of time with Mark".
