All Creatures Great and Small season 5 sees Tristan and Siegfried in emotional reunion

All Creatures Great and Small is set to return with a fresh series, featuring the much-anticipated reunion of Tristan and Siegfried. Channel 5 viewers will be transported back to Darrowby amidst the throes of the Second World War.

The upcoming series commences in 1941, taking us back to Darrowby. Skeldale House is abuzz with Baby Jimmy causing lots of trouble, while Helen grapples with motherhood as James serves at RAF Abingdon.

As World War II intensifies, Siegfried steps up at the surgery, with Mrs Hall and Helen actively involved in community work. Siegfried is relieved to have everyone back, but Tristan's unexpected return may not go as planned. What complications could Tristan's reappearance cause?

Nicholas Ralph reprises his role as vet James Herriot, with Samuel West portraying Siegfried Farnon. Anna Madeley returns as Mrs Hall, Rachel Shenton as Helen Herriot, and James Anthony-Rose stars as Richard Carmody, reports the Mirror.

Patricia Hodge reprises her role as Mrs Pumphrey, while Callum Woodhouse is back as Tristan Farnon, Siegfried's brother. His stint with the Royal Army Veterinary Corps has ended, but his homecoming sends ripples through the family.

All Creatures Great and Small is slated to return for a new six-part series on Thursday 19th September at 9pm on Channel 5 and My5. A sixth series is also in the pipeline, as both have been recommissioned together.

The upcoming series of All Creatures Great and Small is set to charm viewers once again, with a teaser revealing: "The series will continue to bring the stories of James Herriot to life as we return to Darrowby to rejoin our unconventional much loved Skeldale Family and the colourful ensemble of farmers, animals and townsfolk living in the Yorkshire Dales in the 1940s."

In addition, Paul Testar, Channel 5 and Paramount Plus's commissioning editor for Drama, expressed his enthusiasm earlier this year, stating: "We're so pleased that All Creatures Great and Small will be returning to Channel 5 for two more series.
