Clive Owen admits he had 'huge part' to play in Amanda split

Amanda and Clive Owen were once one of Britain's most-loved farming couples after they shot to fame on their Channel 4 hit show Our Yorkshire Farm.

The documentary series followed their pair as they navigated life on their Ravenseat Farm in North Yorkshire alongside their nine children.

The pair first met in 1995, with Clive immediately attracted to the Huddersfield-born Yorkshire Shepherdess. In 2022, the former couple announced that they decided to separate after 22 years of marriage.

Our Yorkshire Farm was axed by bosses after news of their separation emerged but now the pair are set to reunite for a brand new Channel 4 series.

They have signed up for a More4 show called Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive and Kids. It will follow the Yorkshire family as they restore a nearby derelict property that they've purchased for their future.

The Owens will work with a team of local tradespeople to bring the listed farmhouse - known locally as Anty John’s - back into use. Amanda Owen will also trace the farmhouse's former owners and learn about the building's history.

Speaking about the new show, Amanda said: "It is fantastic More4 have given us the opportunity to showcase what we do best, working as a team and battling the elements whilst trying to reinstate the farm next door to its former glory.

"It is no exaggeration to say that filming outdoors on an exposed hill end in Swaledale was at times a huge challenge for the Wise Owl film crew, but their dedication and enthusiasm has never waned."

How did Amanda and Clive meet and when did they break-up?

Amanda and Clive Owen first met in 1995, when Clive was blown away by the young shepherdess. At the time, Clive was running Ravenseat Farm in North Yorkshire single-handedly, while Amanda was trying odd jobs here and there locally as well as at farms in Wiltshire and Cumbria.

Amanda was 21 and he was 42 and divorced, living alone on the sprawling farm estate. The former couple started off as friends but later grew into something more after bonding over their passion for farming life.

As fans know, they have since split following 22 years together. It was claimed last year that they ended things following reports Amanda was having an affair, which allegedly lasted five years, with a web designer some 22 years her senior.

Five years after meeting the pair got married and have since had nine children together. The couple didn’t plan to have a large family but are now proud parents to their nine children, Raven, Reuben, Miles, Edith, Violet, Sidney, Anna, Clemmie and Nancy.

The famous shepherdess gave birth to six of her children on the Ravenseat farm due to living so far away from the nearest hospital but Clive has always been there to give his support.

All their children have grown up sharing their parents' love for farming with them all eager to get involved and contribute as much help as they can.
