Lorraine: Andi Peters reveals he has Alison Hammond's phone

This Morning's Alison Hammond sparked mayhem on Friday when her mobile phone went missing live on air.

The presenter, 49, was back on the couch with Dermot O'Leary for their usual Friday stint. While chatting with Lorraine's stand-in host Ranvir Singh about the day's line-up, Alison confessed she couldn't find her phone, exclaiming: "I've lost my phone though Ranvir!"

Dermot, 51, humorously suggested: "We think Andi Peters might have stolen it, Ranvir!" while Alison recounted how she had just snapped a photo with Andi Peters and then her phone vanished, recalling: "I just took a photo with Andi Peters and the next thing you know, I've got no phone, I don't know where it's gone! Andi, Andi?"

The cameras then switched to the Lorraine set where Andi was seen teasing Alison with her phone in his possession. Spotting her mobile, Alison couldn't help but laugh as Andi made a playful getaway as he sprinted off. Alison shouted: "That is so naughty! You know he's going to be on my phone now!"

Alison's mobile has been at the centre of on-air shenanigans before as earlier this year she had to apologise for another phone-related mishap. She and Dermot were discussing the new look of the set after its revamp at the time as they kicked off the show, reports the Mirror.

However, Dermot couldn't help but notice: "Is that your phone? I love how it blends in with the set!" as Alison's mobile became the unexpected star of the show. The device, camouflaged against the set, soon sparked a bit of on-air turmoil when Dermot was distracted by its ringing while trying to announce the programme's lineup. He turned to Alison exclaiming: "Oh my God, did you not turn it off?"

Alison hastily responded: "I did turn it off, that's not me, it wasn't me!" only to realise her mistake as she picked up her phone and confessed: "Oh, it was! I thought I had it on aeroplane mode, hold on, let me turn it off. I'm so sorry!" while Dermot reassured her, clarifying: "To be fair, she was on aeroplane mode, it's not her fault!"

In a previous incident last year, Alison was left red-faced when her phone rang during an emotional call-in segment. As a caller named Lily discussed feeling unsupported postpartum, Alison's phone interrupted, causing her to frantically apologise while turning it off: "I'm so sorry everybody. I'm so sorry."

After the segment, Alison offered another apology to which Dermot replied: "Don't worry. It happens" before playfully whispering: "Never let it happen again."

This Morning airs on weekdays at 10am on ITV and ITV X.
