The Perfect Couple airs on Netflix from September 5 and the murder mystery drama is based on the book of the same name by Elin Hilderbrand.At the head of the Nantucket Winbury family is Greer Garrison Winbury (played by Nicole Kidman) and her husband Tag (Liev Schreiber).
The 56-year-old American actor is also a director, screenwriter and producer who became known in the late 1990s for his work in independent films. He went on to star in some Hollywood hits including Scream, X-Men Origins: Wolverine and The French Dispatch.
The star's real name is Isaac Liev Schreiber and he was born in California to painter Heather and actor Tell. His maternal grandfather, Alex Milgram, emigrated from Ukraine.
His mother said she named Liev after her favourite Russian author, Leo Tolstoy, while his father said he was named after the doctor who saved his mother's life.
The star also divulged his sweet family nickname, adopted when he was a baby, which is 'Huggy'.

Heather was an independent mother bringing up her son alone. A left-wing Jewish intellectual, she turned away from any sort of material comforts.
Liev's three older half-brothers from his mother's previous relationship lived more affluently with their biological father.
His dad, who lives near Seattle, describes his ex Heather as an exciting woman with a nonconformist spirit.
He told Esquire: "When I met Heather, she was an artist. I loved her wholeheartedly. Heather has always been a Greenwich Village communist.
"She could whistle Mozart and paint; she was the most interesting woman I'd ever met."
When Tell moved to a small farm in Canada, Heather left with five-year-old Liev to Manhattan. Tell did not see him again until he was ten.

Liev has a half-brother, Pablo, who is also an actor and is known for his roles on stage, and for portraying Nick Sobotka in The Wire.
Viewers may also recognise him as George Mendez in Orange Is the New Black.
Liev was in a relationship with actress Naomi Watts and the pair starred in The Painted Veil together.
They had two children during their time together, but in 2016 they announced they were separating after 11 years together.
He has been in a relationship with Taylor Neisen since 2017, with the pair marrying in July 2023. They had a daughter who was born in August 2023.
