The Repair Shop host in shock as guest takes apart restored item

The Repair Shop is back on BBC One and the latest episode of the much-loved series sees a guest from Northern Ireland bring a harp, handmade by her father, into the barn.

After it was dropped and cracked during a house move, it is down to harp experts Alex and Nigel Tree to work their magic.

Outside of the series, the father and son team have their own business called Niebisch and Tree Harps, which is now based in High Wycombe.

The company was founded by Nigel in 1986 and he can trace his expertise back to some of the greatest harp makers of all time, including Pierre and Sebastien Erard.

In 2011, Nigel's son Alex joined the company, having studied fine furniture making for several years.

They specialise in repairing, restoring and servicing harps, some of which date back to the 18th century.

Alongside this, the busy pair produce their own bespoke lever harps, having designed their own range based on years of experience.

Their website explains: "Our clarsach harps combine the best musical qualities with a robust construction which has been proven to last for over 30 years without repair.

"From time to time our design skills are also called upon by private individuals and design companies."

They were even asked to work on a design for a new harp for Guinness, which was used as the basis for their updated logo.

The pair operated out of their north London workshop until 2016, before moving to their new home in High Wycombe.

The move allowed them to access larger parts of the country as they travel all over to service harps in people's homes.

The Repair Shop airs on BBC One on Wednesdays at 8pm
