Good Morning Britain: Ranvir Singh explains Susanna Reid absence
Susanna Reid's return to Good Morning Britain on Wednesday sparked joy among viewers, after her unexpected absence from the show the previous day left fans concerned.
The 53 year old host had been replaced by fellow ITV presenter Ranvir Singh who stepped in alongside Ed Balls on Tuesday.
Ranvir announced the reason for Susanna's absence at the top of Tuesday's programme, explaining to the audience: "If you're wondering where Susanna is, one of her boys has been taken ill overnight.
"She needed to stay with him, so we are here for you this morning."
But it was all smiles on Wednesday morning when Susanna returned to the show, posting a behind-the-scenes photo with her co-host Ed, captioning the Instagram pic: "MORNING!"

While Susanna beamed in the selfie, Ed made viewers chuckle with a hilarious expression featuring raised brows and wide eyes.
Fans were quick to comment on her return, flooding social media with welcoming messages.
A Twitter user exclaimed: "What a double act. Keep it going."
Others shared their relief and support saying, "Good to see you back this morning Susanna, hope everything's ok."

Susanna Reid made a comeback to Good Morning Britain this week after her luxurious summer holiday.
Back in July, she bid the viewers goodbye untill September, leaving her spot to fellow presenters like Kate Garraway, Charlotte Hawkins, and Ranvir Singh.
However, her return to TV screens was met with an amusing yet baffling moment when celeb guest Jimmy Tarbuck shared his sons' nickname for her.
Despite his attempts at dropping clues related to her ex-co-host, Susanna was left guessing.
Tarbuck eventually told her: "You're him, in a wig. Piers Morgan in a wig."
The reveal left Susanna unsure of whether to take it as praise or a peculiar observation until Tarbuck reassured her that it was indeed a bit of a cheeky compliment.
Taking it in her stride, she quipped: "Oh ok, I'm glad you had to point out that it was a compliment because I'm not sure if it sounds like a compliment!"
