Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard slammed by Lauryn Goodman after tense This Morning probe

Lauryn Goodman has slammed Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard in a firey outburst.

The mum-of-two appeared on ITV's This Morning on Monday and when asked why she was sitting on the sofa, she explained she wanted to discuss her upcoming appearance on Celebs Go Dating. However, Lauryn's private life suddenly became the topic of conversation as she discussed her brief flings with Manchester City ace, Kyle Walker.

Lauryn and Kyle share two children, son Kairo, four, and daughter Kinara, one, after sources told the Mirror that they had "brief flings". The 33-year-old who is set to make her debut appearance on the E4 programme this week explained that she and Walker, 34, had known one another for over a decade after meeting through mutual friends.

During the interview, Lauryn was asked a series of questions by hosts Cat and Ben about her brief interactions with Walker. The hosts told viewers at home that Lauryn had made it clear she was unable to discuss the recent family court case involving herself and Walker after a judge slammed her list of demands, including a new car and a hot tub for her home. His Honour Judge Hess branded Lauryn "unreliable".

After claiming she had been in the public eye since the age of around 23 - 24, Lauryn admitted she had "no regrets" about her brief liaisons with Walker as her two children came from them. "I'm currently in no man's land with that at the moment, I don't think there's a right or wrong answer for it," she told the pair.

But she has now hit out at the hosts over their interviewing techniques as they attempted to grill Lauryn. While some have criticised her on social media, others have now leapt to her defence. Taking to Instagram, one follower wrote: "They seemed really frosty with you and the interview come across really awkward, however you done really well given the questions asked. You seemed shocked by Kyle's statement at the end but again kept your composure. Hope you and the babies are doing well."

Lauryn responded: "I was taken back it as you can probably tell. Didn't really think it was necessary and didn't understand the purpose of it. Also the 'respect my privacy' when he's the one who requested it was all made public. Made no sense to me but again it is what it is. I wasn't on there to talk about him. I was there to talk about me and my children and Celebs Go Dating."

Another of Lauryn's followers penned: "Did you feel the questions were fair and they treated you with respect? It was really nice to hear from you." Responding, Goodman added: "I was on there to talk about @celebsgodating but didn't really end up being about that. Is what it is."

Meanwhile, another follower admitted they "felt so sorry" for Lauryn and the way she was spoken to by Cat and Ben.
