EastEnders Linda's blackmailer's identity revealed - and they're not working alone

EastEnders have confirmed who's been blackmailing Linda Carter over her involvement in Keanu Taylor's murder.

Since she killed Keanu (Danny Walters), Linda (Kellie Bright) has been in turmoil. As fans of the soap will remember, Linda intervened and stabbed Keanu to prevent him from murdering Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) last Christmas.

Despite Keanu no longer posing a threat, his death did not mark the end of their ordeal. The Six - Kathy Beale, Suki Panesar, Denise Fox, Stacey Slater, Linda and Sharon - assisted in concealing the murder by disposing of Keanu's body in the Bridge Street Cafe.

However, his body was eventually found under the floorboards. However, the women managed to evade punishment for the crime by framing Linda's rapist, Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo), for Keanu's murder.

This week Linda, who has returned to drinking, was left rattled after Fraser, an associate of Dean, confronted her with a proposition. In exchange for her retracting her statement implicating him in Keanu's murder, Dean would admit to raping Linda.

In a shocking turn of events, Linda agreed to the deal, much to the dismay of The Six. During Wednesday's episode (August 7), Linda met with Dean's associate to sign the statement in return for Dean's confession.

As Linda was shutting down the Vic for the night, she stumbled upon a chilling message. A white envelope, ominously addressed to her, lay waiting on the table. Inside, a note struck fear into her heart: "I know what you did at Christmas. Liar!"

Fans were left wondering who the mysterious sender could be and during Thursday's (August 8) episode, which is now available to watch on BBC iPlayer, it was revealed that Keanu's sister Bernie Taylor (Clair Norris) is blackmailing Linda.

Visiting Dean in prison, he said: "We're getting to her. She's close to breaking point. The fact she was going to take the deal tells you everything you need to know.

"She was willing to sacrifice justice for Keanu just to satisfy her own deluded vendetta against me but by the sounds of things she put on quite the show at the Vic."

"Do they sound like the actions of a women that's got something to hide? Keep sending those letters. Ramp up the pressure and she'll crack. You believe me now, don't you? Linda knows who really killed your brother."

Bernie replied: "I believe you and I'm going to get the truth out of her." Fans will have to wait and see what Bernie and Dean have in store for Linda.
