Love is Blind UK: Are Sam and Nicole still together?

Netflix released the first four episodes of Love is Blind UK on Wednesday, August 7. Those who have already watched part one will know that the first-ever UK season is brimming with drama.

Six couples got engaged in the pods, but only five made it to their honeymoons. The couples enjoying their honeymoon in Greece include Freddie and Catherine, Sabrina and Steven, Bobby and Jasmine, Ollie and Demi, and Tom and Maria.

However, Sam and Nicole, who also got engaged in the pods, were conspicuously absent during the final episode of part one. Sam, 31, and Nicole, 29, had a rocky start on the show, with Nicole forming connections with both Sam and Benaiah, 33.

Despite warnings from Benaiah who felt Sam wasn't on the show for the right reasons, Nicole decided to follow her heart and accepted Sam's proposal. So what happened to the couple and are they still together?

Are Love is Blind UK's Sam and Nicole still together?

It appears not. Product design manager Sam, from London, and head of brand and marketing, Nicole, from Surrey, revealed they had gone their separate ways shortly after getting engaged in the pods, reports the Mirror.

After skipping their honeymoon in Greece, Nicole confessed to the cameras: "Sam and I were meant to be on the retreat but something didn't feel quite right when I took the ring I placed it on the wrong finger, he didn't notice. Now when I look back in hindsight that was a sign that it just wasn't right."

While Sam shared his side of the story and added: "My connection with Nicole in the pods was unbelievably strong, but the doors closed and it was bizarre, I started to realise that something was off, something wasn't right, there was someone else on the scene that Nicole had a very strong connection with, Beniaiah, he did make me feel a little bit like 'are you sure you made the right decision?'".

Nicole then appeared to confirm the split and said: "I'm clear about my emotions and we're not flying to Greece."

What went down in the pods?

Nicole, Sam, and Benaiah ended up in a love triangle as the experiment began, with Nicole grappling over her choices. The scenario took a further turn when Benaiah questioned Sam's commitment.

During a candid conversation with Nicole, Benaiah raised concerns and said: "I question his integrity and motives for being here. I believe he's basically here for fame, not for love. I feel like such an a**hole right now, this is not what I do. It's because I care which is why I told you. Whichever way you go, you go with your heart on this, where you can genuinely see your future."

Nicole ultimately followed her heart and chose Sam over Benaiah, yet their first post-pods meeting was marred by awkwardness, with Nicole hesitating to return Sam's early declaration of love. Following the uncomfortable exchange, Sam reflected to the cameras: "She didn't say it back, it was a little odd."

Are Nicole and Benaiah now an item?

In a twist during the final episode of part one, Nicole expressed a desire to make amends with Benaiah, admitting she envisioned a future with him. Expressing regret to the cameras, she said, "I made a mistake and there's someone I need to talk to and I owe them a huge apology because I really want to make things right with them. I need to follow my heart, and there's no one else I'd want to spend my life with than Benaiah."

She hopefully added: "This time I'm really going to open my heart, and hopefully he'll like what I have to say."

A cheeky preview for part two then hinted at a reunion between Nicole and Benaiah outside the pods, where she tells him: "I made a huge, colossal mistake," and he responds: "It was just so difficult for me, but the right thing has happened."

Whether or not they reconcile and continue their journey on the show remains shrouded in mystery until the release of part two on Wednesday, August 14.
