Emmerdale: Rose cries over hand-drawn picture

Emmerdale fans are convinced Rose Jackson is not actually dead, following her sudden disappearance.

The character, played by Christine Tremarco, rocked up to the Dales earlier this year, as the estranged ex-wife of Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) and mother of Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley).

It was then revealed that Rose was being blackmailed by Ruby Fox-Milligan (Beth Cordingly) - who is set on destroying Kim Tate (Claire King) and ruining her life.

After Kim was forced to move out of her beloved home, because of Rose’s diabolical schemes, the soap legend cottoned on that Rose is out to get her. She also correctly predicted that there is someone else pulling the strings too.

And this week, Kim found out the truth. Fuming, Kim was eager for payback - however, she had no idea that Will had cheated on her with Rose, something the latter secretly recorded.

After confronting Rose at Home Farm, Kim demanded her to leave for good. Along with husband Will, the pair drove Rose to an abandoned area and left her there during Thursday’s episode (August 1).

However, things took a dramatic turn when something appeared to happen to Rose after a mystery character found her. The person drove towards Rose on the side of the road, before parking up.

Rose seemed to be startled by the character’s arrival, but after this scene, viewers didn’t see the car, the mystery person or even Rose - as she seemingly vanished.

Appearing to hint that something had happened to her, all that was shown were Rose’s bag, a picture her grandchildren had drawn and a hospital letter, sprawled put across the grass.

Now, fans reckon Rose isn’t actually dead and have ‘worked out’ what exactly went down, claiming it is a “setup.”

Rushing over to social media, confused viewers noted that if a murder did take place, the killer would most likely not leave Rose’s personal items.

On an Emmerdale Facebook fan page, one person said: “Why would you leave something so personal behind, if you've done away with someone.” Another viewer replied: “A setup definitely.”

A third chimed in and wrote: “I think Will drove back to Rose. Will took her to a train station or airport with the hush money he gave her to stop her from blackmailing him.

“The stuff she left was staged to make it look like a kidnap or murder. Kim wouldn't do it. She would never get her hands dirty,” they added.

Someone else pointed out how Rose’s phone was not there in the items she left behind, as they said: “There was no phone in the left items either hmmmm.”

Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
