TM: Dermot O'Leary 'snubs' co-star in cheeky swipe
This Morning's Dermot O'Leary has sparked a bit of a stir with a self-confessed "disparaging" comment towards his ITV colleagues.
While presenting alongside Rochelle Humes, who is filling in for Alison Hammond during her summer hiatus, Dermot welcomed chef Damiano Carrara to the show with open arms. In his enthusiasm, he may have gone a step too far by calling Damiano their "favourite" - before quickly backtracking on his remark.
Kicking off the Wednesday (July 31) show, Rochelle greeted viewers: "Hello and welcome to your Wednesday's This Morning," as Dermot chimed in with: "Hello and welcome to your Wednesday's (July 31) This Morning. As Dermot interjected: "Here's what's coming up."
Dermot couldn't contain his excitement about the culinary segment, saying: "We've got a real treat raining in the kitchen in both senses of the word because Bake Off Italian judge and one of our favourites Damiano Carrara is here."

He continued to shower Damiano with compliments, expressing, "It's so nice to see you. You are a breath of fresh air in this kitchen," However, he quickly realised the potential slight against other chefs and paused to address it, reports the Mirror.
"That was a bit disparaging to our other chefs, wasn't it? " he queried Rochelle, before clarifying, "No we all love you all but it's just nice to see you. I just like to see what you've bought with you too."
Damiano returned to the screen with his Pavlova topped with fresh raspberries and cream, assuring viewers that it was "super easy" to recreate at home.
Meanwhile, Rochelle stepped up to take over Alison's regular spot on the show following her announcement last week that she would be taking a hiatus.
"It's quite sad that tomorrow is going to be our last show for some time," Dermot O'Leary remarked to his co-host last Friday, to which Alison confirmed: "I know, I know, my last day. I'm going on holiday bubs, it's time!"
