The Repair Shop: Guests gets emotional after item is fixed
The Repair Shop has been running for seven years and fans are curious to find out if it’s possible to visit its filming location. The beloved BBC series was seen last month for season 13 but viewers are already eager to see more heirlooms given a new lease of life with host Jay Blades leading the way.
As of yet though, there has been no confirmation regarding exactly when The Repair Shop will return, however, episodes are available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
Where is The Repair Shop filmed?
The Repair Shop is filmed at the Court Barn at the Weald and Downland Living Museum in Singleton, West Sussex and has been open since the 1970s.
The timber-built framed barn was actually dismantled in 1977 and reconstructed two years later.
The museum has explained on its website that it is simply the backdrop for the BBC series and doesn’t have anything to do with the show’s creation and its experts.
It reads: "Please note that the conservators featured in the series come from across the UK and are not resident at the Museum – the Museum is unable to offer conservation advice for the repair of items and unable to accept post or take delivery of items for repair.

Can you visit The Repair Shop?
Unfortunately, the Court Barn is often closed for private hire in order for The Repair Shop to be filmed so when production is taking place, it isn’t open for visitors to tour.
Nevertheless, the museum, with the exception of the barn, is available to visit, costing £15.50 for adults and £7.50 for children to enter.
Family tickets are also available to purchase at a discounted price with more details on the museum’s website.
Various events also take place at the venue, including theatre productions and a series of Historic Life Weekends.
These occasions in particular offer visitors the chance to speak to experts, watch demonstrations and leisurely explore the museum.
