Strictly: Wynne Evans in tears after emotional moment
Strictly Come Dancing legend Brendan Cole delivered a brutal verdict after Wynne Evans was eliminated.
The BBC Radio Wales host, 52, became the eighth celebrity to be voted out of the dance competition after he failed to impress the judges when he went head-to-head with Montell Douglas.
Following Wynne's Charleston performance alongside pro dancer Katya Jones, 35, during the results show episode on Sunday (November 17) in the Blackpool Tower Ballroom, the opera singer learned of his fate.
Three of the Strictly judges, Craig Revel-Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, and Anton Du Beke, opted to save Montell. Head judge Shirley Ballas confirmed she, too, would have saved Montell from elimination on Sunday night.
Legendary performer Brendan, 48, spoke exclusively to Express Online on behalf of Sky Vegas and shared his thoughts.
“His [Wynne Evans’] personality was really speaking volumes, but after the last two weeks, it's been lacking in the dancing ability. [It was] probably the right couple to go, and he lasted about the right amount of time," he explained.
Issuing his verdict, Brendan suggested: "He probably should have been chosen to go home last week.”
Meanwhile, Wynne was reduced to tears when he appeared on Strictly's spin-off show It Takes Two.
Struggling to contain his emotions, Wynne became teary-eyed live on air when he was joined by Strictly co-star Jamie Borthwick.
Katya gushed: "I'm so glad that you had each other. Every single week we would get through. It's absolutely beautiful to see."
The pair took to Blackpool's Tower Ballroom with a Charleston routine to Carmen Suite No. 1: 5. Les Toreadors by George Bizet.
However, it was not enough to keep the dancing duo in the competition, as Wynne bowed out of the series.
