This Morning: Elkie Brooks speaks about her ageing secrets
This Morning viewers were left seriously distracted over Elkie Brooks' 'youthful' appearance on Wednesday's episode.
During the latest instalment, Cat Deeley and Dermot O'Leary spoke to The Queen of British Blues, 79, ahead of her UK tour.
Talking about her age-defying secrets, Elkie said that she tries to use lots of nice creams, eat well and exercise, crediting Aikido, a type of martials arts. Elkie revealed she has been practicing martial arts for many years and took her first black belt back when she was 50, leaving Cat and Dermot amazed.
After the interview, Elkie treated viewers to a live performance of Sunshine After the Rain. Taking to Twitter, now X, viewers were left amazed over Elkie's youthful looks and incredible performance later on the show.

It comes as Elkie recently revealed that at 17 she was ready to turn her back on music altogether. Elkie, who turns 80 in February, found fame with her 1977 hit, Pearl’s A Singer – nearly 20 years after her first paid performance.
Elkie is currently on her Long Farewell Tour. "I’m not stopping, the clue is in the title – long farewell tour," she recently told the Express. "I’ll judge it on my fitness level as I go along. I don’t want to disappoint those who remember me from years ago."
