My Life With the Walter Boys: Official trailer
Netflix's hit teen drama My Life With the Walter Boys is set to spice things up in Silver Falls, Colorado, with the addition of five fresh faces when it makes its much-anticipated return.
The series quickly became a fan favourite after its release last December, leaving viewers on the edge of their seats for the next instalment of Jackie Howard's (played by Nikki Rodriguez) tumultuous life.
Jackie's journey kicks off following the heartbreaking death of her parents in a car crash, leading her to relocate to Silver Falls, Colorado, to live with the Walter family, which includes seven boys and one girl.
Caught in a romantic tangle, Jackie finds herself torn between two of the Walter brothers: the dashing ex-quarterback Cole (Noah LaLonde) and the intellectual Alex (Ashby Gentry).
The first season ended on a cliffhanger, with Jackie heading back to New York after a fiery kiss with Cole, reports the Mirror.
While details of the second season are still shrouded in mystery, it's expected that Jackie will make her way back to Silver Falls for another round of escapades with the Walters.
Stay tuned for more updates, as TVLine has confirmed that filming for the new season has wrapped up.
The upcoming season will see Natalie Sharp, known for her role in The Flash, join as B. Hartford, "a champion rodeo rider who catches the eye of one of the Walter boys".
The cast also welcomes Carson MacCormac (Locke and Key) as Zach, "a commanding and a bit dangerous senior who attempts to get to know Nathan (Corey Fogelmanis)" and Jake Manley (The Order) as "Wylder Holt, a competitive force in bronc riding who crosses paths with Alex".
Janet Kidder from Star Trek: Discovery is joining the cast of My Life With the Walter Boys as Grace's mother, Joanne Wagner, while Riele Downs of Bel Air fame will spice things up as Maria, described as a "flirty girl" in Alex's driving class.
Though a release date for season two remains shrouded in mystery, with filming having wrapped up recently, eager fans can anticipate the series' comeback sometime in the first half of 2025.
The plot thickens for the upcoming season, and Nikki, the lead actress, teased significant developments for her character Jackie.
In a conversation with Teen Vogue earlier this year, she pondered the potential twists: "Obviously Jackie would have to come back to Colorado but what makes her come back?" Her curiosity was palpable as she confessed: "I don't even know. I've thought about so many different options."
Viewers are left wondering whether a new crisis will wrench Jackie from New York once more, or if the allure of Cole and Silver Falls will prove too compelling to resist.
My Life With the Walter Boys is available to stream on Netflix.
