Strictly Come Dancing's JB Gill confidence 'dented' after harsh criticism

As Strictly Come Dancing heads into another week, concerns have been raised about contestant JB Gill's confidence after he received some harsh feedback during last Saturday’s episode.

Body language and behavioural expert Darren Stanton has suggested that JB, who previously had a self-assured demeanour, is now showing signs of struggling following a string of critical remarks.

Speaking on behalf of Betfair slots, Darren explained, "I think JB is starting to struggle a bit now. He’s obviously very well-liked by the public, but we’ve seen him land a couple of negative comments from Craig, and he seems to lack some confidence. I think we’ll see him struggle in the next couple of weeks due to this."

According to Darren, JB’s actions - such as crinkling his nose and raising his eyebrows - revealed his discomfort.

Darren pointed out: "We had seen him really confident previously, but this has dented it slightly."

While JB remains a popular figure with the public, the expert believes this knock could affect his performances in the coming weeks.

He added: "I would tip him as someone who could be in trouble this week, due to the declining level of confidence."

However, Darren thinks there is hope for JB thanks to his professional partner Amy.

He went on to say: "Amy is someone who really tries to get the best out of her partners and is a really positive influence, so hopefully we will see him gain some of this back in the coming weeks."

As the competition intensifies, all eyes will be on JB to see if he can overcome the criticism and find his rhythm once again.

This comes after JB has already been called out by Strictly viewers for having previous dance experience.

The singer hit back at fix claims, saying he is deserving of a spot on the popular show as he is not a "trained dancer".
