Laura Hamilton halts A Place in the Sun episode as she's left 'disappointed'

Laura Hamilton, the host of A Place in the Sun, couldn't mask her dismay during the latest airing of the show as she spontaneously exclaimed, "Oh no".

Channel 4s much-loved programme A Place in the Sun returned with another gripping instalment on Wednesday (October 2), featuring presenter Laura Hamilton at the core of the action. She was tasked with assisting siblings Sheila and Jean in their quest for the perfect holiday haven in Malaga, complete with two bedrooms and a desired sprawling balcony.

However, upon setting foot into the first abode on Laura's carefully curated selection, the sister's faces dropped in disappointment. Observing their reactions, Laura swiftly responded, "Oh no! The face says it all!"

Surveying the property, both Sheila and Jean were quick to concur that the place felt "a bit dated" to them.

Further voicing their critiques, they pointed out the lack of adequate room for a dining set in the primary living area and noted the much-anticipated large balcony was disappointingly petite. Ever the optimist, Laura endeavoured to persuade the pair by suggesting the outdoor allure of eating al fresco in lieu of indoor dining, reports the Mirror.

Yet, venturing forward in the episode, Laura candidly confided with the viewers, "If you want a roof terrace or outside balcony, something will have to give."

With £120,000 at their disposal, the sisters had aimed high, but audience members speculated whether their budget might fall short in the sought-after locale.

One disgruntled viewer took to social media platform X, venting: "Stop moaning about what the apartment doesn't have and start thinking about your minuscule budget.... Or look for something further north where your money goes considerably further."

Another chimed in with: "Don't think they're getting that their budget isn't going to get all their wants."

At the conclusion of the episode, Laura engaged in a discussion with the sisters to find out if any of the five properties viewed had caught their eye.

Regrettably, despite house number four being to their taste, Shelia and Jean chose not to place an offer on any of the properties. A visibly disappointed Laura confessed her feelings.

Viewers at home echoed her sentiment. One irate fan blasted: "What a total waste of an hour of our time. While another remarked: "Pair of time wasters."
