Pete Wicks on technique of remembering Strictly moves

Strictly Come Dancing sensation Pete Wicks has divulged his unique method for mastering the dance routines on the beloved BBC programme.

The 36-year-old heartthrob spilled the beans during his appearance on the latest episode of Loose Women, where he was joined by his dance partner Jowita Przystal. As they opened up about their progress in the competition, the duo also gave insights into the behind-the-scenes action.

Jowita revealed: "I found a way that we work best, for example, we write a script for every dance. So we have a story for everything and Pete has his own book and he writes things in his own way, so yeah it doesn't make any sense," she shared.

Pete chimed in: "I don't understand the name of what the steps are so I have to name them myself."

Pressed by Christine Lampard to reveal some of the names he's coined, he quipped: "Not on daytime TV," reports the Mirror.

Yet, amidst the captivating conversation, viewers were utterly charmed by Pete's striking appearance. A fan on X enthused: "Would never normally justify watching Loose Women, but cor blimey Pete Wicks, just make me pregnant."

Another swooned: "Give me Pete Wicks over Olly Murs any day."

And yet another commented: "Pete with his wet hair pirate charm, getting all the loose ladies a bit excited and making them giggle at everything he says."

During their intimate fan interaction on Tuesday (October 1), Pete and Jowita hosted a candid Q&A session via Instagram Stories. One intrigued fan posed the cheeky inquiry, "How are your trotters holding up? " prompting Pete to confess: "Interesting question and this week, badly. Why's that? " He put the spotlight on Jowita, who admitted with a touch of guilt: "Because you're barefoot.."

The conversation took an amusing turn as Pete elaborated, "Because I'm dancing barefoot. No shoes."

Eliciting a quick explanation from Jowita: "But I clean the floor every morning I come here for you," to which Pete affirmed; "She cleans the floor every morning, hopefully, they'll do the same in the studio but yeah, any of you foot fans out there you're in for a treat this week."

Queries continued, leading Pete to remark that his weekly hurdle would be "smiling more" After a gruelling eight-hour dance rehearsal, an exhausted Pete shared, "We've just finished eight hours of dancing and I'm shattered, my feet hurt, I'm very sweaty..." before Jowita chimed in with empathy, saying: "But it's amazing, right? I just stepped on your foot like three seconds ago, unfortunately, and because Pete's barefoot it's quite painful. I'm so sorry."
