Amanda Holden has revealed that her husband, Chris Hughes, thinks she would be married "within the year" if they broke up.

The Britain's Got Talent judge, 53, made the revelation while chatting to Davina McCall on today's Heart Breakfast (September 11).

Davina was discussing her dating show, 'My Mum, Your Dad', which will return for its highly anticipated second season next week. As they were talking, Davina revealed that some of the women on the show have been single for ten years.

Amanda replied: "Oh my gosh; I can't imagine. I mean, this is going to make me sound shallow, but my husband always says I'll probably be married within the year if he left me."

The TV legend has been married to record producer Chris Hughes, 51, since 2008 after meeting him in the US, with the couple sharing two daughters, Lexi and Hollie.

Earlier this month, Amanda told listeners that if she won £50,000, she would make a "huge donation" to "anyone who's looking after animals who are struggling or suffering".

However, she explained that it also might cause a rift in her marriage. JK quipped that she wouldn't stop at the donation and would adopt all 500 cats awaiting homes at Battersea Dogs and Cats home.

Amanda, who is an ambassador for the animal rescue charity, recently welcomed a new pet rabbit and also has a rescue dog named Rudie and a cat called Muffy.

She said at the time: "I think it's the cost of living, it's just people taking on more than they can manage. I would probably have them all, in my back garden and then my husband would leave me."

In season one of My Mum, Your Dad, a group of single parents moved into a country house in an effort to find love, with the adults' grown-up children watching from nearby and pretending to be relationship experts.

It was revealed this month that season two would feature a major change; the parents will now be aware that their kids are watching, which Davina previously said “causes a nice trust between a parent and child.”

On Heart Breakfast, she said it's a "lot more emotional", and although people have been saying that the kids wouldn't "take this seriously" and would "muck about", Davina said they're "so invested in their parents finding love".

You can catch My Mum, Your Dad on September 16 at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX
