BBC News broadcaster Kate Silverton will reportedly be back on screens, just three years after quitting TV and retraining as a child therapist - and now the skills she's learnt will be put to good use on screen.
The star, who partnered with Aljaz Skorjanec on Strictly back in 2018, will be helping overwhelmed parents regain control in their families as they struggle to adjust to raising kids. The brand new show's format reportedly mimics Channel 4's Supernanny, fronted by Jo Frost - and is tipped to be relatable and hugely popular.
It'll be a totally different venture in comparison to some of her early coverage for the BBC, which saw her report from the frontline of the world's biggest war zones, from Afghanistan to Iraq. A source told The Sun: "[The show] will see her try to help families who are in need of expert advice and won’t mind being filmed while it’s happening.
"Although it’s just a pilot and hasn’t yet been attached to a specific channel, or a streamer, it’s expected to be well received." They also teased: “It may not end up with the title of Supernanny but certainly does sound very much like the cult Channel 4 show.”
Meanwhile, the production company, KEO Films, has issued an appeal for parents to get in touch if they'd like to participate. The company has reportedly promised to throw struggling parents a "lifeline", courtesy of Kate's new expertise.

She now labels herself a "parenting expert and child counsellor”, a calling which she has described as her "life's passion".
Kate revealed that her background is in child psychology, and that she was also inspired by her journey into motherhood.
Meanwhile, her agent Bev James' website has shared more about Kate's advocacy for the mental health and wellbeing of children.
Her bio explains: "Her academic roots are in child development, with a BSc in Psychology; she has worked for more than a decade in children’s mental health, ultimately retraining as a children’s counsellor with the children’s mental health charity, Place2Be and she is now qualified as a child therapist, and practices clinically with young children at a London primary school.

"Philanthropically, for many years she has supported charities like the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families, The NHS Maudsley Foundation Trust, as well as the NSPCC and their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s Royal Foundation.
"Her passion is to share what she has learned with as many parents as she can, to help them to have the parenting experience they have always hoped to have, and for their children to have the parenting experience they deserve."
Meanwhile, back in 2021, Kate released a self-help book aimed at parents of kids under five, titled There's No Such Thing as Naughty!
The book became a Sunday Times bestseller - and with the forthcoming TV series planned, there's no stopping Kate as she makes a name for herself in the field of child psychology.
