Bargain Hunt's Christina Trevanion's family explored from parents to children

Christina Trevanion joined the BBC's Bargain Hunt after starting her TV career on Flog it!. It was one of the series producers who asked if she would be interested in appearing as a Bargain Hunt expert.

After 15 years of working at other auction houses, she decided to open her own in her home county of Shropshire, in 2014. She said she loved the fact no two days are the same.

The auctioneer added: "One day I can be covered in cobwebs rummaging around in someone’s loft looking for priceless treasures; the next I can be giving a lecture to a group on early English porcelain.

"The antiques industry isn’t just a vocation, it’s a way of life, and it’s the only thing I’ve ever wanted to do." She could not think of anything else she would rather be doing.

Away from work and the TV cameras, she opened up about her family life and free time. Here is everything you need to know.

Christina is the daughter of David and Hazel Trevanion. Her dad sadly died and she paid tribute to him one Father's Day.

Sharing a photo of herself with her father on X, formerly Twitter, she wrote: "Thinking of all those who couldn’t hold their dad's hand today and celebrating all the wonderful fathers out there.

"To your daughters (& sons) you are heroes. Remembering my dear dad with an ache in my heart & a smile on my face."

She attended Southampton Solent University after completing her secondary school education at Bishop Heber High School in Malpas, Cheshire.

After launching her career she got married and had two children. Opening up on what she does in her free time, she joked: "As a busy mum of two, with a full-time job and a part-time job, I don’t get a lot of free time.

"So when I do it is spent with my family and friends, in my garden, at home."

She recently opened up about how she keeps herself in shape with her weight loss regime.
