Bradley Walsh was noted sharing concerns for his co-star's health in a repeated episode of The Chase. On the episode, which re-ran on August 14, the TV presenter asked Mark Labbett if he was ok after picking up on a worrying symptom

The ITV quiz show welcomed contestants Emma from Manchester, Jonathan from Walton-on-the-Naze, Khalid from Swansea and Megan from Ipswich as they went head to head with the chosen chaser, Mark 'The Beast' Labbett, in a bid to go home with a cash prize. Working as a team they played strategically to answer general knowledge questions against the clock while hoping that they wouldn't be caught.

Emma was first up to the table as she managed a respectable seven correct answers in the cash builder round. But before making an offer, the player got into a bit of back and forth with The Beast about Greggs, the pastry shop.

His voice sounded a bit croaky as he said: "They [Greggs] love seeing me turn up. I'm on course for the world record of most different ones visited."

Brad picked up on the change in Mark's voice as he quizzed him on whether he was feeling okay. Seemingly concerned, the TV host said: "You don't sound very well, what's up with you?"

But Mark just smiled in response as the game continued. He went on to offer Emma a low offer of £1,000, a middle offer of £7,000 and a higher offer of £30,000.

The player went on to accept the middle offer before making it back to the bench successfully, adding the first £7,000 to the prize pot.

Outside of The Chase, ITV regular Mark has had his fair share of challenges, including his most recent health woes.

Back in 2017, Mark was diagnosed with diabetes and the shocking health diagnosis urged him to make a complete overhaul of his lifestyle.

"I think me being diagnosed as a diabetic was like a three-bottle-a-day alcoholic being told that they have cirrhosis of the liver," he told Express.co.uk in 2021. He continued: "I used to have 10 to 12 chocolate bars a day. Sugar was my vice.

"I didn't smoke. I didn't drink. No drugs, no gambling. God knows, no loose women. But that was my thing - sugar. So I could hardly complain."

The Chase airs on ITV and ITVX weekdays at 5pm
