Flog It!: Woman stunned as robe sells for £4,200

Flog It presenter Paul Martin was forced to apologise after a stunning outfit failed to sell at auction.
Paul and his team of experts were back for another episode of the popular BBC show on Wednesday, as they helped those looking to make extra cash from their antiques. During the programme, guest Jane, who was in Lecister, brought in an eye-catching Chinese ensemble that she inherited from her grandfather.
The beautiful item was described as a ceremonial outfit from the 1900s. Sharing her insight on the piece, Jane explained that her father used to wear it as a child.
With an estimate of £100-120, the experts were confident it would sell. The outfit also had a reserve price of £80, which meant if it did fail to meet this figure at auction, it would be rightfully kept in Jane's possession.

But unfortunately, Jane's item did quite meet expectations - with the highest bidder only offering £65.
After the item failed to make a reasonable profit, Paul comforted Jane. He said: "I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry! We were close but not that close.
"So we couldn't even use any discretion really." He then added: "It's going home!"

Keeping a smile on her face, Jane revealed that her day had "been fun".

Although fans still have the ability to watch Flog It on TV, all episodes are repeats. This is due to the show being cancelled by the BBC in 2018 in a bid to modernise the channel.

Sharing his thoughts on the decision at the time, presenter Paul said: It was a tough decision but the BBC is the best in the world.

"We have made enough Flog It! episodes for the new ones to last another year and a half, so it has given me some breathing time to actually make some new shows for them, which they were keen for me to present.

"I have been doing Make Me A Dealer for the last six months and I’ve got another one in January, which is still under wraps. It’s like Crystal Maze. It’s going to be epic."
