Beyond Paradise fans had the same response as filming for the new series kicked off in Cornwall. Kris Marshall is stepping back into the shoes of detective Humphrey Goodman for the third series of Beyond Paradise.
A fan of the series shared photos of the actor, 51, in between takes on set in Looe. Another post shared on a Death in Paradise facebook page announced: "NEW! Filming is underway on a third series of Beyond Paradise, with a Christmas special also confirmed for this festive season!"
Fans of the series, which first hit screens in 2023, rushed to the comments to share their excitement over the news. One wrote: "Love it. Can't wait."
Another agreed: "Woo-hoo, so looking forward to this!" Referencing the image of Humphrey and Martha Lloyd, a third penned: "Cannot wait love these two and all the cast."

Echoing this, someone else added: "Wow I’m so so so looking forward to g forward to watching these pair x." The series two finale of Beyond Paradise aired in April and saw Humphrey and Martha's highly-anticipated wedding day arrive.
Things didn't go to plan however, and the couple decided against tying the knot. Following the finale, viewers pondered whether Martha is the right fit for Humphrey, with some even claiming she should be replaced.
Writing on a Facebook group, one fan said: "I don't know why, but I can't warm up to Martha. There's something about her that gives me less than warm feelings."
A second agreed: "I'm the same. She's so uncaring, treats Humphrey so badly, she should have left with her ex when she cheated! Thinks only of herself. Humphrey would still be fab in the program without her, I really can't see her with kids!"

It is assumed Sally Bretton, 44, will be reprising the role of Martha once again. Speaking about the upcoming series, executive producer for Red Planet Pictures, Tim Key, said: "The response to series two has been fantastic. So much love goes into the making of the show and we’re delighted that the audience has enjoyed it so much.
"We can’t wait to get back to Shipton Abbott for another Christmas special and series to continue the story and learn more about our characters and the town they live in - I can promise that we’ll be making the viewers laugh, cry, laugh a bit more and then baffling them with a series of ingenious puzzles. There will also be a duck.”
