BBC presenter Martel Maxwell visited Walton, near Liverpool, on Friday's instalment of Homes Under the Hammer to take a look at a Victorian terraced home in desperate need of attention.
She showed viewers around the mid-terraced two-bedroom home with a huge bay window which came with a guide price of £30,000.
The historic house included some of its original Victorian features such as an original fireplace and coving, but the home was filled with rubbish bags, black mould and chipped paint.
The kitchen needed to be "stripped" out according to Martel as did the upstairs bathroom which had fallen in to disrepair.
She later met up with a property buyer called Mustafa who had purchased the home for £68,000 and had big plans to renovate it.
Martel asked: "So with this property, what is the plan here?" He cryptically responded: "As you can see the property needs a lot of doing, we will do lots of work - some of which I am not going to say.
"I have already decided what I am going to do, but when you come back you will be surprised."
A baffled Martel replied: "Oh you tease! What do you mean you are not going to tell me? Why are you not going to tell me?"

He explained: "I always work silent, as soon as I get a property I know what I am doing and I do my plan."
Challenging Mustafa, Martel said: "You have seen Hammer before? So you know I come in and I say, 'Hey, what are you doing with the house?' And you say, 'Oh I am going to convert it into a three-bed or I am going to move the bathroom down here.'
"But you're not going to tell me?" The guest smiled and replied: "No, I am not going to tell you."

He insisted he never cuts corners and explained his uncle once told him to "build for myself" before Martel said his decision not to tell her anything was a "first" for the BBC show.
"This is the first time I have spoken to an owner who knows exactly what he is going to do, but you are not telling me," she sighed.
She returned after just six weeks and was amazed to see how the home had been turned into a three-bedroom house, complete with new carpets, modern tiling and a fresh lick of paint.
It cost him £18,000 to renovate the property and his plans were to rent out the home which was valued at £130,000, giving him a pre-tax profit of over £40,000.
