Kevin Costner discusses his Yellowstone departure

Yellowstone stars and real-life couple Ryan Bingham and Hassie Harrison have shared an exciting update from the set of season five’s second half.

The hit Paramount Network drama will have been off-air for a staggering two years once it reaches its projected November 2024 release date.

Taylor Sheridan’s globally successful Western series has hit some huge obstacles in the meantime, not least of which was the loss of Hollywood leading man Kevin Costner, who pursued his own big-screen project Horizon: An American Saga.

Thankfully, production appears to be well underway on the final six episodes in Montana.

Co-stars Ryan and Hassie, who portray ranchers Walker and Laramie and recently tied the knot last year, shared a thrilling update on their Instagram pages.

They both posted a sweet selfie of themselves together donning cowboy garb and beaming at the camera.

“Back in the saddle!” they said in the caption.

Many of the show’s millions of fans were ecstatic to finally get a concrete update on Yellowstone’s progress.

Down in the comments, one fan gushed: “power couple two of the best.”

“Looking forward to seeing you two at the Y,” another replied.

Sharing a prediction for the next outing, a third said: “I hope they marry you guys in the show as well!”

However, others are still fuming that a paltry six episodes to wrap up the Dutton saga has taken this long to come to fruition.

One disgruntled viewer replied: “It's amazing and very curious to me how Jeremy Renner who's almost crushed to death by a large piece of machinery was able to get back to work and his show has already been available now.

“And yet Taylor Sheridan's other shows for some reason take years before new episodes are available.”

And another joked: “It's about f***ing time! Been ready for like a decade now.”

Aside from the mainline drama, thankfully the world of Yellowstone won’t be coming to an end when season five concludes at the end of the year.

TV mastermind Taylor reportedly has several ideas already in the tank for sequels and spin-offs, including a continuation titled 2024 that will supposedly star Oscar-winner Matthew McConaughey.

A second season of 1923, starring Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren, is also in the works, as well as another prequel set in 1944.

Yellowstone season 5, part 2 premieres Sunday, November 10 on Paramount.
