Olympics: Tom Hiddleston stars in BBC film

Olympian Jeanette Kwakye and Invictus Games medallist JJ Chalmers have been delivering commentary on the Paris Olympics this morning on BBC One.

During the coverage, Team GB athletes Scarlett Mew Jensen and Yasmin Harper won a bronze medal for their three-metre synchronised diving springboard attempt.

It's the first time in 20 years Team GB have won a medal on the first day of the Olympics.

However, their incredible achievement came after one of the Australian team's divers slipped during their routine.

Reflecting on the victory for Team GB, BBC commentator JJ said: "It's the first time since Sydney that Great Britain have won a medal on the first day of the competition and in the most dramatic of circumstances right down to the final moment there.

"Just the highs and lows of sport just clearly on show, I am going to have to take a breath. Janette nearly fell off the sofa."

Co-host Jeanette, a retired Olympic sprinter, confessed: "I did fall off this sofa! I don't want to actually make reference to it but I have to."

The 41-year-old exclaimed: "[The Australian] literally fell off the board - it was a disastrous time for the Australians and obviously she is going to feel devastated, but it's the name of the game."

China achieved the gold medal and the US Team took home the silver medal.

"Every dive counts and Australia could have got a medal," former Olympic diver Tonia Couch told JJ and Janette.

"They needed 50 odd points, that's nothing and they fell off the board. Anabelle [Smith] doesn't normally do that.

BBC Antiques Roadshow: Top 7 biggest valuations will leave you staggered

Antiques Roadshow has made some lucky Brits a pretty penny over the years.

Often viewers are left stunned when something left sitting in an attic is worth millions of pounds.

From a Faberge flower, to art by Banksy -

"Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't but it would be usually in training. I did not expect that.

"They probably thought they didn't need to do much to get a medal. So much could have been going through their minds and unfortunately for them, they messed up.

"Our girls did amazing, they got over 300 points and they should be really proud."

BBC One is airing the Olympics coverage over the next two weeks.
