Cobra Kai season 6: Trailer for part 1 on Netflix

Cobra Kai season six, part one concluded with a bombshell for Tory Nichols (played by Peyton List) but fans are convinced something else is at play.
While Tory prepares to take on Sam LaRusso (Mary Mouser) for the role of female team captain at the Sekai Taikai her world implodes when she discovers her mother has died.
Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) refuses to let Tory fight in her bereaved state, but Miyagi-do gets the shock of a lifetime when they head to the tournament only for Tory to reveal she’s once again joined forces with John Kreese (Martin Kove).
While the students are undoubtedly in for their most daunting karate challenge yet, fans of the Netflix drama are convinced there are more twists around Tory’s family heartache.
One eagle-eyed viewer uncovered a clue that Kreese was actually behind the death of her mum, forcing her to turn to his side.
Taking to Reddit, they predicted: “Tory’s going to switch sides again.”
Explaining their reasoning, the user went on: “I know this may be kind of a reach but I’m pretty sure Kreese killed Tory’s mom because of how the scene of her death was laid out and she was making a fist.
“I don’t know I just feel like he sort of had something to do with her death.”
Another fan agreed with the speculation, adding: “He would stop at nothing to win. I think he did kill her.”
And a third viewer replied: “Exactly what I was thinking as I was watching it, hopefully not, but I wouldn't be surprised.
“Makes sense since they're ensuring that Kreese is full on unstable, going as far as killing. He killed Johnny (William Zabka) in his hallucination with no hesitation at all whatsoever, and cut the head of an actual cobra. He's lost it, the only issue is it may be too dark.”
However, other viewers also felt the twist would be too dark a turn for the series to take. They also pointed out a doctor confirming Tory’s mum died of blood clots, although this could be possible to achieve with poison.
“This is so wrong. Clearly the doctor said it was because of a blood clot,” one viewer insisted. “Come on people. The show wouldn't go so far as Kreese killing tory's mom. That's dumb.”
One person also disagreed with the Kreese theory, but then suggested another archrival could have been involved.
“The doctors confirmed it was from an embolism,” they wrote. “It’s possible either cancer or snake venom. But I like Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith) for the kill.
“He’s always been the best recon guy. He was cruising the hospital in season five, he probably hacked Tory’s mom’s file and had her snake bit.”
Cobra Kai season 6, part 1 is available to stream on Netflix. Part 2 will be released on Friday, November 15.
