A BBC's Escape to the Country guest couldn't mask her bewilderment when confronted with a baffling mystery house.
On the episode aired Thursday, July 18, host Denise Nurse was assisting a couple in their hunt for the dream property. Katie and Craig, who initially met in Scotland before relocating to Denver, USA, were eager to return to Scotland's serene landscapes.
They were in search of a spacious property with a garage for Craig's "toys" and a suitable setup for Katie to dive into her veterinary practice from home. Despite their enthusiasm for the properties lined up, one particular house threw them for a loop.
Upon entering the mystery house, Katie immediately felt that its "personality" didn't align with her tastes but remained open to exploring further. She later expressed to Craig: "I know the mystery house is supposed to challenge you in good ways but this is really challenging me! I think my imagination is having limits."
Craig agreed with her candid opinion, adding: "I think it will take an awful lot of work to make it feel like a home.", reports Wales Online.
Denise could tell that the enigmatic abode didn't quite spark the anticipated delight, despite boasting an outbuilding and a triple garage. She remarked: "I get the feeling the inside of the house didn't live up to the expectations you had. But there is of course one more important factor to this property that you don't know yet and that is of course how much it is on the market for."
Upon disclosing that the mystery dwelling was available for a mere £350,000, Denise noted that the price, significantly below their budget, was still not tempting enough for them to dive in.
