Premier League clubs have entered the final week of the summer transfer window. Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea are all expected to be busy over the coming days as they seek to bolster their respective squads.
Friday's business could see Manuel Ugarte become a step closer to becoming a United player. The Red Devils are reported to have revisited their interest from earlier in the window and could strike an agreement for the defensive midfielder, who is valued by Paris Saint-Germain at around £51million.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are closing in on the signing of Mikel Merino, who will become only the second major addition at the Emirates Stadium this summer. The Spain international is due in London to complete a £40m switch from Real Sociedad.
