Jermaine Jenas is said to be worth a staggering £2million as the Match of the Day host now faces the reality of his BBC sacking. The former Tottenham and Newcastle star was shown the door this Thursday after complaints were made about him.
Jenas co-hosted The One Show with Alex Jones and used to present MOTDx, targeting younger viewers, before it was cancelled after four seasons last year. News of the media personality's firing was revealed when a BBC spokesperson said: "We can confirm that he is no longer part of our presenting line-up." The BBC later clarified the sacking was linked to his "workplace conduct".
The ex-England midfielder's wealth has enabled him to snap up a £1million home in Hertfordshire, where he resides with his wife Ellie Penfold and their four children. The pair wed in 2011 and have since had two daughters and a son together, while Jenas also has an older daughter from a previous relationship who lives in the USA.

These allegations, which involved digital communications such as texts, were brought to the attention of the BBC, who took action. It is alleged that the former England star has split from his long-term agent, MC Saatchi, following his dismissal.
Jenis is believed to have engaged lawyers to defend his reputation in light of the allegations. Despite his BBC sacking, Jenas went live on air with talkSPORT on Thursday evening, hosting the station's Drivetime show alongside ex-Liverpool and Arsenal winger Jermaine Pennant and former Spurs colleague Aaron Lennon.
