Anthony Martial has reportedly been offered a fresh start at two European clubs following the expiry of his Manchester United contract.

Martial spent nine years on the books at United, making over 300 appearances and scoring close to 100 goals.

But despite still only being 28 years old, the French attacker was let go when his contract ran out at the end of last season.

And with less than two weeks until the Premier League gets back underway, Martial is yet to put pen to paper on a deal with a new club.

That could be about to change though, with both Atalanta and Lille said to be monitoring his situation, as per Sky Sports.

Interest from Atalanta’s side was sparked after talisman Gianluca Scamacca suffered an ACL injury during a pre-season friendly against Parma.

It’s estimated the Italian international could be out for around six months, opening a spot in the XI for Martial, should he choose to join the Serie A outfit.

They’re expected to face competition from Lille though, who are also keen to bolster their attacking ranks this summer.

Martial isn’t said to be in a rush to make a decision though, with the forward having enjoyed a holiday following his United exit.

And the patient approach is said to be because Martial is also attracting interest from some of the sport’s more lucrative markets, such as MLS and the UAE Pro League.

Whoever he turns out for this season, he’s said to have already been putting the work in, with Martial’s advisor detailing his training plan earlier in the window.

Speaking back in June, Philippe Lamboley told Sky Sports: "Anthony is on vacation. We are studying the different projects and we will take time.

"Anthony has made sure to be fit and ready for his new club. He has been training normally for two months.

“He is 28-years-old. I hear reports that he would be too financially greedy with the clubs. This is not true.”

Lamboley continued: "Anthony wants an ambitious project to achieve high club goals and get back into the France team. He will choose his club according to the sporting and family project.

“The finances are important for any professional player but they are not his priority.”

As a free agent, Martial will be able to take his time with his decision and isn’t bound by this month’s summer transfer deadline.
